PASCO COUNTY — WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. -- A Wesley Chapel man made a call for action to Consumer Reporter Jackie Callaway after he said his transition to remotely working from home hit a rough patch over problems with a faulty piece of office furniture. IT worker Chris Kelley told ABC Action News he literally hit the floor after his office chair fell apart. "When it popped, I immediately – to keep from falling backward – I lifted up on the seat and when I did, the seat came completely apart," said Kelley. Kelley told ABC Action News the chair was part of a large, three-piece office set he bought from Costco more than a year ago and he said the furniture was still under warranty. Kelley said he requested Costco replace just the chair, but the company responded in emails Kelley shared with ABC Action News that he would have to take apart the entire office set and set it out by the curb for Costco to pick up.
